Spring into good hair.

Spring into good hair.

Even though the snow has us thinking otherwise, spring is just a mere three weeks away. That’s right Artel babes, we are just 19 days away from sunnier days, blooming flowers, cleaner houses, and a reintroduction to vitamin D. And since spring is all about out with the old, in with the new, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to share the top hair trends for spring 2018.

TREND ONE: Rosé, all day.

We’ve become well acquainted with pastel pink, rose gold and barely-there blush hair over the last year. We are tickled pink to report that this trend will continue. And what better time go rose pink than in the spring?

TREND TWO: Violet Hues.

According to Pantone, Violet is the colour of the year! What does this mean? Artists and designers in every industry will be using this as inspiration. Translation: you’re going to see a whole lot of purple hit the streets, runways and retail. Turn your locks a luscious lilac and you’ll be right on trend!

TREND THREE: More Balayage please!

Highlights out, balayage in. We will be seeing more and more of this low-maintenance, hand-painted lightening technique this spring.

TREND FOUR: Embrace your texture.

If you got it, flaunt it. Whether that means curly, wavy or crimped, we think you should rock it. Working with your natural hair, instead of against it is in this spring. Work with your stylist to find the best style and products to suit you.

TREND FIVE: Wavy Bangs.

The just-caught-in-the-rain wavy bang is SO hot right now. Not to mention, easy to achieve in Vancouver’s spring showers.
